CPE Alakazoum has been serving families since 1983. It is made up of two facilities each receiving sixty-one children aged zero to five. Our CPE is associated with a teaching institution, the Cegep de St-Hyacinthe, and we serve, as prescribed by our general regulations, workplaces including ITAQ and the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and, if applicable, the general population. We work in accordance with the educational program of the Ministry of the Family.
As a partner with the Cégep de St-Hyacinthe and its study departments, we accept proposals for student activities, supervised by teaching staff, such as the demystification of a visit to the dentist, intervention by paramedics, and activities of students from the Department of Childhood Education Techniques.
The CPE team relies on the unique development of each individual and our primary concern is to create a bond of attachment with the child, while developing his self-esteem. To do this, we have chosen to promote respect and autonomy through our interventions, activities, and physical spaces. In addition, we want to observe children and offer them opportunities to live experiences that meet their needs and interests.
